Yemi Alade - "Empress" Album

Yemi Alade, Nigerian multi award winning / Afropop singer/songwriter unveils her 5th studio album titled "Empress", on 20 November 2020, such an utmost powerful project that creates Africa's feeling experience to the listeners. 

"Empress'' is an embodiment of the Afrobeats music culture, high quality rated with top notch production, when I think of Yemi Alade, I think of the likes of Angelique Kidjo, The acclaimed Woman of Steel's sounds feel so undiluted and original, to the extent that people who had been fans since the days of the 2014's monster hit single "Johnny" can still comfortably resonate with Mama Africa, as she's referred to by many.

The bona fide Afrobeats material LP, very merry and indeed a celebration of Africa music as a whole, consists of 15 massive tracks with guest appearances from Rudeboy (P Square), Patoranking, British singer/songwriter Estelle, Dadju, Mzansi Youth Choir and Vegedream. 

If I have to recommend African music to someone that wants to get into listening to Afrobeat/s music, or perhaps African music in general, I would recommend Yemi Alade - "Empress" album the same way I would recommend albums from the likes of Fela Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, Awilo Logomba, Brenda Fassie and Salif Keita.
