Wizkid - Made in Lagos

Nigerian's Mega Superstar, Wizkid released his most anticipated 4th studio album "Made in Lagos" last night 29/10/20, this LP had been long overdue. The Afrobeats exponent had been talking about "Made In Lagos" for a number of years, there was a time I was even contemplating that  "Made in Lagos" might end up like Dr Dre - Detox LP.

MIL was also slated to drop 15 October 2020, but Wiz pushed it forward understandably due to the political unrest and #EndSars protests saga going in Nigeria and some other parts of the world in the past few weeks.

Blimey!!! "Made in Lagos" is here now, and I have listened to the project a number of times after getting my hands on it and I'm thrilled with the artwork's opulent looks, MIL boasts features from the likes of Burna Boy, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Terri, Skepta & Damian Marley.

Every song on the 14 track LP is worth listening to as the track on this project gives different vibes, different melodies and different rhythms. MIL majorly refines/retunes the genre Afrobeats,  it smoothly diffuses with the elements of R&B, Pop, Soul, Grime and Reggae.

All the collaborations are outstandingly blended into the project, each and every one one of the collaborators added their own flavour into the whole project, for example Wizkid and Skepta never go wrong on a track, "Long Time" featuring Skepta is on point, diffusing Grime with Afrobeats and it works well.

The track "Ginger" featuring Burna Boy is a much awaited one, as far as I know, this will be the first official collaboration between Burna Boy and Wizkid, and I am happy to see that happening and the track is sensational.

"Roma" featuring Terri is your usual club banger and club focused track, very uptempo with proper Afrobeats riddim.

An immediate standout on the project is Damian Marley's feature on "Blessed" which absolutely put the whole album on a new level entirely.
