HEADIE ONE, many have proclaimed him as UK's king of Drill, he drops his hugely anticipated debut LP "EDNA" today 9th October 2020.
The 20 track album features massive collaborations with the UK's Queen of Drill, Ivorian Doll alongsideDrake, Skepta, Aitch, Mahalia, Stormzy, Future, Young Adz, Young T & Bugsey, AJ Tracey, M.Huncho, Kaash Paige & Haile.
The star studded LP is titled after Headie's one late mother Edna and specially dedicated to his late mom, and listening to this material, I feel that Headie One is trying to refine/retune his image and style, or perhaps improvise I believe, he want his music to be more widely accepted, not just for the Drill music fans but for music fans globally on a more mainstream level.
He sounds so passionate, energetic and determined on this project, he gave it all out!
The collaborations with Drake on "Only You" (Freestyle) & Future "Hear No Evil" opens up an entire new fanbase for the North London rapper, especially in America, and that's a smart move.
I've heard few people saying they want the old Headie One, but personally I am cool with the newly rebranded Headie One and I see some tracks on "EDNA" that has the potential to top the charts in the UK & Ireland, and possibly in America.
"Ain't It Different" featuring Stormzy & AJ Tracey are currently on the top 10 of the Irish Music Charts (Singles) and top 10 of the UK Official Charts.
