DMX - Exodus (Album)

Earl "DMX " Simmons's first posthumous album titled "EXODUS" is out now, the project being the late New York rapper's 8th studio album is named after his youngest son, Exodus who also features on a track on the LP "Walking in the Rain".

EXODUS definitely have more guest features compared to X's previous albums, there are guest appearances from Alicia Keys, Nas, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Bono of (U2), Snoop Dogg, The LOX, Swizz Beatz, Moneybagg Yo, Usher, Exodus Simmons and more.

Executively produced by X's longtime collaborator / friend and record producer Swizz Beatz, this is a magnificent comeback for X but unfortunately due to his untimely death on April 9 2021, X won't be here to properly proclaim the greatness of the album himself, but this is really something big for his fans, new and fresh vibes from DMX.

There are a good few standout tracks on this project, "Skyscrapers" featuring Irish rock legend U2's "Bono" lingers on the edge of pop rock and rap, a very spectacular tune and utmostly radio friendly.

"Letter To My Son" (Call Your Father) featuring Usher & Brian King Joseph is such an emotional tune, one of my favourites on the album, the track is intended for his son Xavier, so serenading, the messages were well delivered, Usher Raymond's vocals on the hooks are just impressive and Brian King Joseph's violining on the track also blended well, cohesively.

If you are a DMX's fan, this is one of his awe-inspiring albums that has to be in your collection.
