Aj Tracey - Flu Game (Album) - a remarkable project .

AJ Tracey's name frequently appears on my radio show playlist (Urban Vibez) on Dublin's Near 90.3FM, the British rapper rose to fame with the UK Garage infused hit single  "Ladbroke Grove" in 2019, produced by Conducta and features vocals from British songstress, Jorja Smith. Tracey hence had released his self- titled debut album in February 2019 which became one of the UK's biggest albums of that year by an independent artist.

"Flu Game" the sophomore album from the West London MC, dropped on 16 April 2021, had been well received by fans, the album listening experience is quite refreshing, AJ music is a mix of UK rap, garage, grime, drill, dancehall with elements of pop/rnb with a commercial appeal.

There are quite a number of radio friendly jams on this album, which is somewhat my prerogative, as a radio jockey, I am super interested in tunes that will make waves on air, I had some tracks off the album which had been on heavy rotation on my radio show for some weeks now, tracks such as "West Ten" featuring Mabel, "Bringing It Back" featuring Digga D, "Dinner Guest" featuring MoStack and "Anxious"

"Coupé' featuring American singer and songwriter, Kehlani is one of the standout tracks for me, with the sampling of sounds like Santana "Maria Maria" beats, kinda have a summerish vibes to it,  good for radio, good for parties, gives a sort of bop bop charisma like DJ Khaled "Wild Thoughts" featuring Rihanna

"West Ten" featuring is undoubtedly a garage tune, I grew up listening to UK Garage, it feels nostalgic and you get that good feeling when listening to "West Ten" it's Déjà vu, just like "Ladbroke Grove"

Overall I feel that there are lots of great cuts on this album, AJ thus attributing this project to "Michael Jordan’s iconic return to the Chicago Bulls in March 1995" is a statement on its own, "Flu Game" evidently solidifies AJ position in the UK urban music scene as one of the most influential figures in the UK rap scene right now, the album is a whole body of work, AJ effortlessly blends grime, garage, drill, rap, hip hop, dancehall, pop and rnb all in one mix, to be honest there are very few rappers that can confidently switch from one genre to another, just like that, this is a very rare talent that the rapper possesses.

Other guest appearances artists on "Flu Game" include NAV, T-Pain, Millie Go Lightly and SahBabii.
